had the chance to watch members of the U.S. Navy play a friendly against my college team a few hours ago. although the college team could possibly (erm... maybe?) match the skill of the sailors, there was no way they could physically put up a fight. possessing arms probably twice the size of any player on my college team, they could've easily muscled themselves a win.
but there were highlights during the match... a member of the U.S. Navy camp attempted a two-handed dunk on a fastbreak. i have never seen the basketball rim make such an astounding block in my entire life... it didn't help that the female sailors let him know what they thought of his... erm... athletism.
last saturday i followed a buddy of mine to seremban to help set up his house for his birthday bash. i couldn't stay for the festivities since i was expected at another dinner in PJ. anyways... the drive there was pretty eventful as we had to turn around halfway after the birthday boy forgot to bring his camera (a sign of his aging).
on the way there, another friend who was tagging along for the journey asked if he could look at my iPOD. not thinking much about it, i handed it to him and told him to knock himself out. eh... must remember to stop saying that to people. next thing i knew i heard him say 'WAH so slim 1!'. i turned around and watched in horror as my friend held the silicone cover in one hand and my now naked iPOD precariously in the other. let me just say that he's probably not gonna touch my iPOD anytime in the near future...
happy birthday to my beloved aunt! thanks for showing me and my sis the greatest time when we were in Singapore. i'm not sure if you're ever gonna see this anyway but many happy returns all the same!
